OVERVIEW

CIS stands for Curtin Islamic Society in Curtin University of Technology Sarawak Campus. Currently, there are 147 registered members and 5 advisors (as per Sept 2008). CIS was officially established on May 16, 2003 (Rabiullawal 14, 1424H) prior to the need to unite all Muslim students studying at Curtin University of Technology, Sarawak Campus as well as Muslim staffs under the one umbrella. CIS has been established by a group of students who want to see all Muslims have a strong bond among themselves and provide the basis to organize any Islamic activities within the campus.

MISSION STATEMENT

To bring true Islamic Culture within Campus Society in Curtin Sarawak Campus.

VISIONS

1. Provide efficient platforms for the members to learn true Islamic knowledge (Dakwah Umumiyyah) and to practice and gain leadership and teamwork traits.
2. Strengthen the ukhuwwah among multicultural Muslim communities on Campus.
3. Ensure fair university policies towards Muslim community on Campus.
