CIS-MAIS Nikah Course

This nikah course (Kursus Pra-perkahwinan) is organized by CIS and will be handled by Majlis Agama Islam Sarawak (MAIS). By the end of this course and by fulfilling certain requirements, all participants will be awarded the certificate which can be used for legal marriage anywhere in Malaysia. There is no expiry date for the cert and it has a multiple use (Polygamy).

Date: 15 – 16 May 2009 (Saturday and Sunday)
Time: Sat (?am – ?pm), Sun (?am – ?pm)

Venue: On Campus (Specific room will be announced)
Medium of Language: MalayFood: Main meals will be provided

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Curtin Islamic Society and other viewers !

It has been 60 years since Nakbah by Israel-Zionis gangsters towards Palestine people and land. Death, Blood, Screams, Cries, Gunshots, Bombs and many others terms can be associated with this “war”. For the last two weeks until now, this catastrophe is becoming worse. This article is written as a simple guide by giving focus on what are the realistic and practical ways we can manifest our true and sincere faith towards returning the land to Palestinians from Israel-Zionis.

ONE | Consistent and Sincere Do’a (Supplication) for Palestinians’ victory and Zionis’ loss in any language anytime anywhere. Simple Example: Allahummansur ikhwananal mujahidina fi filisthin (Oh Allah, help our brothers and sisters in fighting for Islam (jihad) in Palestine)

TWO | Boycott all products from Zionis-supported companies. The reliable list can be found at http://inminds.co.uk/boycott-israel.php. There are also the facts with references supporting the claims in the website. Far more important, stop SMOKING as two main financial sources of Zionis are coming from cigarette and insurance industries.

FOUR | Spread our stands, news and information to everyone about these illegal occupation and terrorism acts by Zionis via campaign, demonstration, articles, blogs, email and any other means of communication. Sources of Information: Aman Palestin, Palestinkini, Infopalestina and many other reliable sites.

FIVE | Recite Do’a of Qunut Nazilah as this is a special doa when our Ummah is under trouble (Kutub wa Rasa’il li al-Uthaymin 116/53-54) during each Solah Fardhu (Syarhus Sunnah , Al-Baghawi 2/279) after(preferred)/before I’tidal (al-Majmu’, 3/482). The do’a can be anything (al-Majmu’, 3/497) in line with the do’a for the Palestinian’s victory but must be in Arabic as it is still in solah. The sample shown below is the one recited by Ibnu Umar (al-BAihaqi 2/210). The do’a must be recited loud either in jahr or sir prayers (al-Sharh al-Mumthi, 4/47).

Contest Poster

1. Every members of CIS will be informed about the contest through e-mail and posters that will be pasted on the club boards at Curtin Sarawak Campus
2. Participants have to print out the form or collect it at Curtin Musolla to join the contest
3. Each participants will be assigned with an ID for each of them for judging purpose
4. Participants will create a design for front and back of the t-shirt acccording to these criteria; CREATIVITY, ISLAMIC THEME, IDENTITY OF CIS, COLOUR ALLOCATION (max3, solid colour)
5. Submission can be made either via e-mail (ciscurtin@gmail.com) as a softcopy or by lodging it into the assigned box in the Musolla as hardcopy
6. Winners will be informed through e-mail in a week time before the prizes are delivered on the CIS Eid Celebration on 11 October 2008
